Championship Game:  Florida 65, Houston 63.
National Semifinals:  Florida 79, Auburn 73;
Houston 70, Duke 67

 

• All four number-one seeds made it to the Final Four, marking only the second time (2008) all top seeds advanced.

• Florida rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to capture the championship game.  Houston turned the ball over on their last four possessions.

• The Hoop Historians Welcome Dinner had 29 attendees, and was located at  Range Restaurant in the San Antonio Embassy Suites Riverwalk.

• The Hoop Historians Headquarters was also located at the San Antonio Embassy Suites Riverwalk.

• Al Sack was recognized by the Hoop Historians for attending his 50th Final Four.

• Joe Spagnolo won the fifth annual Hoop Historians Hoop Hysteria Contest.

• Edward Burns, Adrian Collins, Jim French, Bill Mushrush and Brennan Petar were elected to the group as a full members.

• Ramon Kirkland was elected as an Honorary Member.
