The National Championship
Game between Connecticut and Kentucky featured a #7 and #8 seed -- the
highest total in title game history.

The National Semi-Final
attendance figure of 79,444 set the record for the most people to ever
watch a college basketball game.

The annual Welcome dinner had
37 people in attendance. The event was held at the Press Box Grill
on Main Street in downtown Dallas.

The Hoop Historians
Headquarters was located at the Spring Hill Suites by Hilton on Lamar
Street in Dallas.

Members of the group toured
the Texas Rangers' Ballpark at Arlington, and Pat Irvine got to sit in the
desk once used by her brother Billy Martin.

Points of interest that the
group attended in the North Texas Area included, Dealey Plaza, The Sixth
Floor Museum and the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

Three generations of the same
family attended the championship game: Frank & Cath Wilson, their daughter
Meredith, her husband Matt and their baby Lincoln (nine months).

Judi Caldwell, Garry DePerry
and Jim Martin were elected as full members.

Including its Honorary
Members, the group's membership now totaled fifty people.
