Championship Game:  Virginia 85, Texas Tech 77 (OT)
National Semifinals:  Virginia 63, Auburn 62;
Texas Tech 61, Michigan State 51

 

●  Virginia and Texas Tech played in the title game, marking the first time since 1979 that both championship game participants were seeking their first crown.
●  TV analyst Charles Barkley's alma mater, Auburn, made their first ever Final Four appearance.
●  The Hoop Historians Headquarters was located in the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Minneapolis.
●  The Hoop Historians Welcome Dinner had 37 people in attendance and was held at the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Minneapolis.
●  The Annual Meeting was held in the Lake Harriet meeting room in the headquarters hotel before the national semifinal games.
●   Brian Burmeister was recognized for attending his 50th Final Four.
●   Larry Baker was elected as full member of the Hoop Historians.
●   Some members of the delegation participated in tours at the Minnesota State Capitol, Target Field and the Cathedral of Saint Paul.  
●   Kevin McCann won the 2nd Annual Hoop Historians Trivia Contest.
