●  Villanova won their second national championship in three years.  The Wildcats won every game in the NCAA Tournament by double digits.
●  #11 seed Loyola-Chicago made their first Final Four appearance since 1963 and was accompanied on streets of San Antonio by team chaplain, 98-year old Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt.
●  The Hoop Historians Headquarters was located in the Drury Inn and Suites on St. Mary's Street in downtown San Antonio.
●  The annual Welcome Dinner had 41 people in attendance and was held at the Texas Land & Cattle Restaurant inside the Hoop Historians Headquarters hotel.
●  The Annual Meeting was held in conjunction with a pre-game luncheon before the national semifinal games.
●   John Mayberry was recognized for attending his 50th Final Four.
●   Paul Swanson and Raymond Zebro were elected as full members of the Hoop Historians.
●   Roland Hemond, Steve Lavin and Richie Schueler were elected as honorary members.
●   Ted Reineking won the inaugural Hoop Historians Trivia Contest.
●   Some members of the delegation participated in Easter Week activities at the Cathedral of San Fernando.
