David has served three different universities as Sports Information Director
from 1982-1996. Mateer is the Official
Scorer for Womens’ Basketball games at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He has attended
six Mens' Final Fours (1995, 1997, 2000, 2006, 2010 and 2015) and three Women’s Final Fours
(2005 2009 & 2011), and has been at 14 different first, second and regional rounds of
the NCAA Tournament. David has served as timeout coordinator, television
statistician and media coordinator and interview room moderator for various
events over the past four decades.
