Cal Dilworth played organized basketball for more than sixty years.  Cal was the the director of Detroit's Master's Sports and Recreation Program, a group he founded at age 50 and managed for twenty years.  Dilworth played with every Harlem basketball team from the Ambassadors to the Wizards from 1957-1966.  In the true spirit of being a Globetrotter, as a master's AAU player, Cal was selected to play for Team USA in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland and Slovenia.  Dilworth was inducted into five different Hall of Fames and sponsored an Endowed Basketball Scholarship at Wayne State University.  Dilworth started basketball participation in the Huntsman World Senior Games in 1986 by organizing and bringing teams there on an annual basis, and he played in the event more than than 30 years.  Cal was a long-time member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and attended every Final Four from 1989 to 2017.  Dilworth was recognized by the Hoop Historians for his many years of service and being an ambassador to the sport at the Final Four in 2011.
