CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
Martin was born and raised on DePaul basketball and attended Ray Meyer's
basketball Camp for five years before playing basketball at Oak Park-River
Forest High School in suburban Chicago and has been playing intramural
basketball ever since. Makowski's basketball experiences go beyond laying,
as he coached and refereed elementary school basketball in Illinois, Virginia
and Vermont. Marty was presented the Outstanding Performance in Youth
Preparedness Award by the White House and the Department of Homeland Security
in 2011. The James Madison University graduate is a Program Manager with
the American Red Cross and continues to be passionate about community and youth
service as he is an active volunteer with Chicago Cares and the Posse
Foundation.
